Beau Est Mien (which means ‘beautiful is mine’) began in 2008. We create quirky and detailed limited edition printed artworks that delight and engage. The prints are hand-made and hand-coloured with water colours, using traditional printmaking techniques such as dry point, etching, and screen printing. We share our love of printmaking through our seasonal printmaking workshop program.
Founded and directed by Magali, an artist from Northern France, Beau Est Mien is managed by Alina, who coordinates our workshops and looks after the studio while Johanna takes care of wholesale stockists and customers.
A small team of artists and makers work alongside Magali and Alina to make Beau Est Mien a place of passion, joy and love. Collectively, this tight knit group of creatives transform the little studio in Northbridge into a vibrant community of printmakers who are at the forefront of contemporary printmaking and design.
Here at Beau Est Mien, we offer a wide range of wonderful printmaking workshops. In addition to this, we have the facilities and technical knowledge for a range of screen printing services. For more information, Click here.
Partnerships and Commissions
In the past, we have opened up our studio to resident artists who have used the space to develop and showcase new bodies of work. Our vision of working with and for the community is reflected in our relationship with the City of Perth, the City of Stirling and the City of Melville. We hold regular workshops and community events open to the public and often participate in street events in the city. As a printmaking studio, we are regularly commissioned by public and private clients to design and create one off works for them.
